The short version
We collect your email address, your billing details, and notes about your devices so we can help you. We never ask for your passwords. We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for.
What we collect
- Your email address and name, given at checkout, so we can reply to you and send receipts.
- Billing details, handled by Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe directly and never touch our systems — we can see the last four digits and the card type, nothing more.
- What you tell us: your messages, the devices you have, and notes on what we did, so you do not have to explain it again next time.
- How you found us: if you arrived from an advertisement, the campaign details in the link are stored in your browser and attached to your purchase record, so we know which advertisements are worth running.
What we do not collect
- Your passwords. Not ever, and we will ask you not to send them.
- Your phone number, unless you choose to give it to us.
- The contents of your files, photos, or email, beyond what you show us.
Where AI is involved
We use AI tools in the course of helping you, and we would rather you heard it here than worked it out. Alerts, monthly briefings, service reminders and billing notices are generated automatically. Audits, tune-ups, reports and plans are drafted with AI and reviewed by a person before you see them. Routine replies are drafted with AI and checked by a person before they are sent. Scam Check answers are generated by AI and say so on every response.
Any call, anything financial, anything we have confirmed is a scam, and anyone who is distressed is handled by a person, always. If you would rather a person wrote to you from the start, say so and we will.
TODO(braeden): counsel to confirm the wording required by the Utah Artificial Intelligence Policy Act, and whether a disclosure is required at first contact as well as here.
Who else is involved
- Stripe processes payments and holds your billing information.
- Our email provider delivers receipts and the messages we send you.
- Cloudflare serves this website.
TODO(braeden): counsel to name each processor and link to its terms.
How long we keep it
Your account and service notes are kept while you are a member and for a period afterwards so that we can pick up where we left off if you return, and so that we can meet our tax and accounting obligations. TODO(braeden): counsel to state the actual retention periods.
Your choices
Email [email protected] and ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will not make you fill in a form or explain why. Deleting everything means we cannot help you as well next time, and we will say so, but it is your call.
TODO(braeden): counsel to supply state-specific rights (including California), how to appeal a refusal, response windows, and the position on children’s data.
